I Met A Girl
Pete Miller
in C
I met a girl,
Just today.
I called for her.
To God I prayed.
She came to me
As sweet as can be.
I think,
I’ve found my self a girl
She’s got curly ringlets and
She likes the Who;
Narrow hips and gentle shoulders,
She gets my song.
I smiled at her.
She smiled at me.
I thought on her;
She preyed at me.
She’ll be mine,
Much sweeter than wine.
I think,
I’ve found my self a girl.
As I was making that
Lamberth turn
I saw those golden letters
Up in the sky
I met a girl,
Just today.
She sat real strange,
Just like I prayed.
She turned to me,
Just to see me.
I think
I’ve found my self a girl.
